We Back

And … We are back.

So, you may ask, where the heck have I been?

The short answer is my website went down when hackers took down my web hosting provider.

I waited for a while, but they never came back, so I parked this website while looking for a new provider. And work got in the way. And my wife and I started doing some weekend exploring trips.

It sometimes takes a while to get back up, especially when you are already over-tasked and don’t have a bunch of available time.

But that is all in the past now. I’ve finally found a new web hosting company, so I’m back. Finally.

My next project here is to finally update the look and feel of my website itself. It is time. And I will get right on that.

Once I find some extra time, of course.

Meanwhile, there are lots of projects happening here at the stations, and I am knee deep in most of them. And a lot deeper than that on one or two.

One of those projects is the stations website has been changed and revamped. It looks great, and as we quickly as we can, we’ll be adding much more to it in the near future. So just keep checking in at escanabaradiogroup.com to see how that project is coming along.

And here, too.

We Back!

I’m Movin’ On

I’m Movin’ On
I got the call just a couple of days ago, and with that call, I find it is time for me to move on.

I will be heading to Michigan next week.

I will announce all the details a little later, once I know what day it is that I will start my next great radio adventure.

This move itself will be bittersweet. I love Maine. I love this area, even if – or maybe just because – it decided to snow today. Here in Maine, if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute. It will change.

I have family here. I have friends here, too. But for those of us who truly love doing this radio business, we also know that having to uproot ourselves and move, sometimes all the way across the country to where our next position is, is just a part of the gypsy wanderlust that flows through our veins.

Radio is a calling, and when it calls, I and many others like me take that call. And when we do, it’s down the road we go.

This move will be a completely new adventure for us, as neither my wife nor I have ever been to Michigan. The good news is that we now get to check that box off our list. By the way, that leaves just seven states (highlighted in Green on the map) that I have yet to at least visit.

But for right now, I have two projects that I need to go take care of. First, I need to go and shovel away today’s snow, before it all freezes up and turns to ice. And then, it’s time to start packing.

I have great memories and grand accomplishments that I’ve done here in Maine. They will always be with me. But the call has come from away, and I’ve answered that call.

I’m Movin’ On.
