Winter has turned to spring, and I have a weekend with nothing to do.
Well, that isn’t quite right. Catching up on much needed (and way overdue) rest and relaxation is doing something, even if it does look the exact opposite.
Since the last time I had the time to check in, I’ve snuck in a trip to get new glasses, and a couple trips to the dentist. Mundane? Yes. But still must be done, even in the age of COVID.
Speaking of, I got my COVID shot a couple of weeks ago.
Supposedly, this means I should be able to travel this summer and visit with family. The trip that originally was planned for last spring, then pushed back to last summer, then pushed back again to Christmas, then pushed back once again to this spring…
Whether or not it actually happens this time is still up in the air as of this moment. But over the past year, we’ve all learned that things beyond our control can totally mess up our plans.
It also reminds many of us to never take anything for granted. But we still must plan. Even if everyday is a winding road.
